What we fix

If the paint isn't broken, we can usually fix it

Paintless dent repair works by massaging the metal back to its original shape from behind the panel, or, when there's no access from behind, pulling it back out from the front with glue tabs. No body filler, no color matching, and no chance of an off-shade repair showing up in the sun three years from now.

Door dings

Our most common call — and the one we've got the most reps on.

Creases & body lines

Long, sharp dents running across a panel or through a body line. Slower and more technical, but very often repairable.

Minor collision dents

Fender benders, backing into a post, a runaway shopping cart — even with some paint wear, the dent itself is often still fixable. Often a fraction of what a body shop would charge.

Lease returns & pre-sale prep

Dings show up on a lease inspection or a pre-sale walkaround — usually far cheaper to fix them first than to eat the penalty on a lease return sheet.

Hail damage

Roof, hood and trunk full of dents after a storm. Hail isn't the bulk of what we do, but we take the work. Photos never do hail damage justice, so we'll come look at it in person — the evaluation is free.

When PDR isn't the answer

If the metal itself is stretched or torn, paintless dent repair can't give you a clean result — that needs a body shop, and we'll say so before you pay anything.

Cracked, chipped or scuffed paint is different — we can usually still massage the dent back into shape, we just can't fix the paint itself, so that blemish stays. Some people are fine with that; if you want the factory finish back the way it looked before the damage, that paint blemish would need to be addressed at a body shop. Send a photo either way and we'll tell you exactly what to expect.

Why paintless

PDR vs. a traditional body shop

Comparison of paintless dent repair against traditional body shop repair
Factor Paintless dent repair Traditional body shop
Your factory paint Never touched. Original factory finish. Sanded, filled and resprayed.
Typical turnaround 1–3 hours for most single dents. 3–7 days, car left on site.
Cost Typically a fraction of a respray. Materials, labor and booth time add up fast.
Resale value No paintwork on the history report. Repainted panels can show up and diminish value.
Where it happens Your driveway, office parking lot, wherever you are. Drop off, arrange a lift, come back later.

How it works

Three steps, no runaround

  1. 1

    Send us a few photos

Text or email 3 photos of the dent — from the left, center, and right, with the whole panel in frame each time, not zoomed in. Add the make, model and year. That's all we need to quote most jobs.

  2. 2

    Get an estimate

We give you an honest estimate from your photo. The final price gets confirmed once we see the dent in person — and if it turns out to be something paintless dent repair can't fix properly, we say so before you pay anything.

  3. 3

    We come to you

Pick a time and place — home, work, anywhere with room to open the doors. Most repairs are finished before you'd have finished the paperwork at a body shop.

About

The guy fixing your dent is the guy who owns the company

I've specialized in paintless dent repair since 2021 — door dings, creases, minor dents, the everyday stuff, without unnecessary bodywork or repainting. There's no call center, no sales team, and no passing your car off to whoever's available. When you book with Dent Discipline, I'm the one who shows up, gives you an honest assessment, and does the repair myself, start to finish.

I'm a Keller local, a husband, and a father of two. It's my name behind every job, so I take the time to do it right — and I'd like nothing more than to earn a repeat customer.

“Ian repaired the hail damage on our daughter's Subaru Crosstrek. He came to our house and was done by the end of the day. He did an outstanding job! It was like it never happened.”

Jeff Linder — hail damage, Subaru Crosstrek

“I was nervous about having just anyone do PDR on brand new paint, but Ian handled it with ease and the result looks factory. You honestly can't tell anything was ever there!! The owner was straightforward, showed me what they were going to do, and didn't try to upsell.”

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Can my dent actually be fixed without paint?

Usually, yes. Run a fingernail across the paint over the dent — if it's smooth, we're almost certainly good. If it catches on a crack, chip, or scuff, that's not an automatic no — we can often still massage the metal back into shape, we just can't fix the paint itself, so that blemish will still be visible afterward. It's only a real no when the metal's torn or stretched, or the paint's worn through to bare metal or primer. Send a photo either way and we'll tell you honestly what to expect.

Will it damage my factory paint?

Almost never. Most of the work happens behind the panel with specialized tools that never touch the paint at all — no risk there. On dents with no access from behind, we use glue tabs on the surface instead; those release cleanly the vast majority of the time, though on rare occasions removing one can pull a small fleck of paint with it. It's uncommon, and if a spot looks more likely to have an issue, we'll say so before we start. Done properly, there's nothing left to see.

How long does it take?

A single door ding is often 30–60 minutes. Past that, it really depends on access and how the metal responds — a crease through a body line, multiple dents, or hail damage can take anywhere from a couple hours to most of a day, and every tech works at a different pace. You'll get a realistic estimate with your quote, and if the access or damage turns out different than what the photo showed, we'll tell you before it turns into a surprise.

Does insurance cover it?

Depends on the damage. Hail and storm damage almost always falls under your comprehensive coverage, and if someone else caused the dent — another car, a shopping cart — their liability may cover it instead. Either way, insurers often prefer paintless dent repair since it costs them less than a respray, so approval is usually easy. We'll work directly with your adjuster and handle the paperwork. For smaller jobs, whether it's worth filing against your deductible at all is your call — we'll give you the real numbers so you can decide.

What does it cost?

It depends on size, depth, location on the panel and how hard the dent is to reach. A ding in the middle of a door is straightforward; the same dent on a sharp body line or behind a brace is not. That's why we quote from a photo rather than publish a price list that would be wrong half the time.

Do I have to bring the car to you?

No — we're mobile. Home, office, wherever the car sits during the day. All we need is space to open the doors fully and reasonable light. Most people carry on with their day and come out to a fixed car.
